This site has several informative videos. They are in Portuguese, however the subtitles are excellent. Click on "Things" on the left side to get a full list of the topics covered.

To look for topics, click on one of the Topic Centers at the right and scroll down to the bottom of the page - you'll find a list of Suggested Research Topics.

In this section they break down six categories of harmful chemicals found in everyday products. In each section they talk about what the category is, where they are being used, concerns, and what is being done. You can check out Accomplishments under About Us to see some of their projects.

A project based course at UC Berkeley has tackled real world issues in Chemistry. Scroll down to Past Projects and click on the links to learn about some of the work they have done.

From the World Health Organization, this site talks about ten specific chemicals, their health impacts, risk management, and capacity building. If you click on the specific chemical (air pollution, arsenic, asbestos, etc.) there is more information on each.
