Course: Honors U.S. History (HUSH): Indigenous groups assignment

2022-23 research project guide

Indigenous groups assignment

In this assignment, you are looking for resources on an indigenous group from a specific location. You'll also be looking at how your group performed resistance to and/or interacted with Europeans and what's going on with that group today. Finally, you'll be connecting past and present.

Many of the resources on this page are also on the general page, but there will also be some specific tips for finding sources for your assignment.

We highly recommend using EbscoBooks! Instructions are in the first column below!

UHS sources

SFPL sources

You will need your SFPL card and PIN to access these. If you don't remember yours you can ask Nicole or Hayley or you can use the chat function on the SFPL site to talk to a librarian under Support & Services.

Online sources

As well as looking at the general links below, try searching your tribal group in Google. You'll find many good sources from those tribes as well as links to museums and historical societies. Remember that Wikipedia cannot be one of your sources.
